Thorsten Overgaard took an impressive photo of a man reading a book in a crowd with this lens - the kind of unconventional portraits I'd capture : ) The best way is to use 80R or/and 75M 😉 For years, I used R- 80mm on Leica R and same time M - 75mm on M. I use sometimes the R-80mm on M10 + 020 on tripod mainly, but prefer the more dynamic use of M+75 so to show how it looks (the whole set up minus tripod ! ) comparing to M-A+75, for fun    Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Hi a.noctilux, Take a look here Choosing another lens: Noctilux-M 50mm or 75mm?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
cheekz4dayz Posted April 13, 2021 Share #42 Â Posted April 13, 2021 I just came across this thread I'm curious on what decision the op made. If I were in your shoes I'd probably just get the noctilux 75 since it sounds like it's one of your favorite focal lengths from history. If I end up not liking it then I'd trade downwards but it seems like you've done your research and you like pictures the noctilux can make. I haven't used an M yet so of course I understand what some of the other members have said but since you don't mind using the visoflex might as well go for the noctilux and see if it can fit your needs/desires. I'm on the sl/q system but 28/35/75 are my focal lengths of choice so I can somewhat relate
