When all you have is IBIS, low noise at high ISO, and no tripod. f/8 at 1/8 sec. is the best I could do handheld for some sort of compelling star effect.

One can crop enough with 24 MPx even with the lens wide open.

Hi,

just a few from my test run - not even with my own SL2-S, but with the demo-version which lured me into taking one home. Main purpose was to get a feeling about the camera and to check it out - so no art here ;)

All but one pictures are taken with the 35 summicron-sl. One with the 35 summilux-m Asph.

It was one freezing guy in a locked down city with a few, but very grumpy people.

Cheers

Daniel

Starting with the Summilux - the rest with summicron-sl

Quick Multi-Shot fun test, just to get an impression of the resulting resolution. This needs definitely to be repeated with a proper still set up or architecture.

SL2-S + Apo-Summicron -M 1:2/50 at f2 and f5.6 — complete frame and 100% crop both in 1240px width. PS: No post except Highlights -20 in LR.

I've not seen Goldfinches in the garden for several years (NE England).  This morning 3 appeared feeding on seeds on the Lilac tree.

L 90-280, 1/1000s, f4, spot metering, iAF cropped to 1600px on the long side.  Minimal processing in LR
