How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. I'm leaning in the direction of a Q2M purchase, adding it to my kit as a companion to my Monochrom Type I version.  Some of the photographs I've seen posted here are some of the best I've seen over the years on this forum.  This camera seems to deliver outstanding IQ.   I can see myself using it!

I sold my M246 Monochrome in part exchange for a used Q2M. The only downside for me is that the Q2M is Autofocus. I prefer to chose the focal point. However, a 28mm lens is not too focus-critical and the IQ is indeed outstanding. The camera is extremely light compared to the M246. It is easy to handle and the delay when starting has not yet caused me a problem.

I have a yellow filter attached to my lens, simply because living in rural Sussex means there is a lot of greenery and my photos are improved by a filter.

@Peter Kilmister Do you mind elaborating?


Sure...the manual focus on the Q could definitely be better, to say to least. Its quite a joke compared to any M lens, obv.
But in practice I seem to get by just fine unless when trying guesstimate distances and focus "blindly" (due to the focus scale being way to tight & inaccurate).

Alternative phrasing: Definitely the very best implementation of "focus by wire" on the market - for better or worse.

in my case, the AF is something I very much welcome, it's something I look forward to in the Q2M.  I'm keeping my Monochrom so they will be companion cameras to each other, along with my Sony A7RII.  Each camera will have specialized applications. I hope to use the Q2M as my walk about camera, and for street portraits.
