I own the Q2 but love b+w photography so rented this lovely little camera for a few days.  They did not have any of those color filters available so all the pics were taken without filters.  Really enjoying this camera.  A lot.

sensor overload - strange spectral grid - subtle radial striata -LEICA Q2 MONO - ISO1600 1-16000 sec f11 2021-02-26 11.08.30

Uploaded this SOOC quarter sized crop NOT out of artistic merit or complaint but out of technical curiosity - recent thread(s) spoke of 'ugly flaring' which until now I had simply not noticed - my fault entirely I should've cranked down the base ISO from my normal winter gloom of 1600 to 200 or 400 - note the max electronic shutter 1/16000 and a manual f11 (previous shot was a macro of some manky spongy seaweed washed up on the beach) - in hindsight I would guess that the massive lighting overload transmitted to the sensor must've caused quite some fuss on a pixel-by-pixel size level - to reiterate this is NOT a complaint I'm just curious about the effect of my gross settings' mismanagement. ...not sure how I managed to capture flares from all three Cornish suns 🙂 Assume there was an almost invisible wave or ripple in what I thought was a flat puddle.

the moire pattern is not what i would hope for

I think that's our monitors and the resolution at which you are viewing the image.

It is not baked into the file, if you view it much larger, (most of) the moire pattern is not there.

here is a 3600px version
