Nice capture. I’m wondering if this is SOOC, or if you enhanced in post.

One of the things I want the dynamic range .  I see some detail in the blacks, but in some places it’s lost.

i have the Q2 and am thinking about a Q2M, wondering if there is a necessity to expose for the highlights with the Q2M, as opposed to the blacks.

Can't recall where exactly I read a discussion about that - likely in this forum. In short, you are about right

Cheers. Nothing overly radical in post just some lightening to compensate for the 2.6 stops under-exposure. Looking at the RAW DNG you'd need a picky eye to immediately spot my work in post. Always expose for highlights, then fish in post for detail in the darkness to whatever HDR exists. Facts of life. I have an old Q (original) for colour and a new Q2M for B&W. Yes, the HDR is best in the Q2M:-)

Nice pic. May I know why you used ISO 25000 ? Light conditions perhaps ?
Exactly. I set the ISO on auto, choose the shutter speed and aperture, and watch the image and histogram in the viewfinder. I have pretty much stopped worrying about what ISO I’m using because the image is so good at all if them.
