How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and s

I was inspired by your bee photo with the TL60mm lens. Here's my attempt using my four-year old T + TL60mm lens.  I'm probably imagining it but this seems somewhat snappier now that I've updated to FW 1.8.

I'm actually amazed at how responsive my T is now with the updated FW.  Those bees zip by pretty quickly and the TL60mm lens hasn't been a speed demon in the past, but now it seems to be keeping up just fine. I was considering upgrading to a TL2 body but maybe the combination I have is all I really need for this type of shot.

Beautiful shots, definitely agree that the TL60mm does seem snappier on the TL2 as well once I updated the FW. I'd love to know how much more responsive it is now, but don't have a way to measure it.

 

I've loved the sharpness of the lens, but its been more fun for the dynamic pics since the update.

Best I could do after firmware updated to Ver. 1.4.

This was TL2 with the App-Vario-Elmar-T, doesn't seem to be too sharp? Focused on the top right flower.
