Mr.Prime Posted February 2, 2021 Share #381  Posted February 2, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I read the article, there’s maybe 40% more light transmission on the 50% of pixels using the Y filter so you get perhaps a 20% net benefit in overall sensitivity? yawn. Please can we just find a way to slim down the SL2, call it and price it as a CL2 so we can get back to taking photos.  Edited February 2, 2021 by Mr.Prime
Advertisement Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Hi Mr.Prime, Take a look here Hoping that CL2 = mini SL2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
nicci78 Posted February 2, 2021 Author Share #382  Posted February 2, 2021 It’s 40% more light overall. Because yellow collects two times more light than green. Then how to recreate green ? by subtracting yellow information to red. Red - Yellow = Green.  By the way such sensor can make future Monochrom sensor less relevant. Speaking about Black and white. When you use colour filter, you will notice that Yellow filter will cost less light than Orange or Green which cost less light than Red one.
