hannycatania Posted May 25, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello. Someone is aware of the delivery date of the Leica M10 Monochrom Wetzlar limited edition. Announced in February for delivery in April. For obvious reasons it has been postponed. You know when. For those who ordered like me in February? Thanks. Advertisement Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 Hi hannycatania, Take a look here M10M Wetzlar edition. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted May 25, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 25, 2020 Even without Covid, Leica marches to their own timing. Even then, supply levels can vary by location and source, and further complicated by wait lists, or not. Best to check with the source where you ordered to see if they have any insight, or at least to determine if there's a wait list and where you rank. hannycatania Posted May 26, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted May 26, 2020 I'm the first on the waiting list. I wanted to know if this machine ever came out of Wetzlar. In the sense if it has ever arrived in any store. According to my information, no. Do any of you know anything?
LeicaFan1 Posted May 27, 2020 Share #4 Posted May 27, 2020 Per Meister Camera in Germany for them, https://www.meister-camera.com/en/second-hand/9475/leica-m10-monochrome-leitz-wetzlar, end of August.

Same price, unlike most special editions, and standard version is similarly back ordered most places. Jeff
Anakronox Posted May 29, 2020 Share #7 Posted May 29, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's strange, since the 35 Summilux FLE Wetzlar Edition that is designed to be its companion is already out. I picked up a copy in Moscow at the end of March. Meister Camera is a good resource - I purchased my M10M from them.

Same camera, different engraving on the top plate. At least that is my understanding of the Leitz/Wetzlar M10M. The all black regular M10M is so beautiful and clean that I prefer it over the Leitz/Wetzlar version. I'm not so sure that these "Limited Editions" that run into 500-600+ pieces are of benefit to the owner. My "Limited Edition" M-P 240 Safari set doesn't seem to have appreciated in terms of resale value.

Gobert Posted August 28, 2020 Share #10 Posted August 28, 2020 (edited) Got mine today. now, I am going to re-learn B/W photography. 40 years ago or so, I was quite experienced. I was able to have a B/W look to the outside world. But that is gone. I’m quite excited. Edited August 28, 2020 by Gobert

LeicaS2 Posted September 7, 2020 Share #12 Posted September 7, 2020 Given the total lack of Leica ID on the M10M, I bet there was some internal argument at Leica with some arguing for at least a Leica script ala the MP on the top. Maybe Doctor K then said let’s do it both ways, but call the second version a limited addition made large. It’s called the Leitz Wetzlar version... https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1548107-REG/leica_20061_m10_monochrom_leitz_wetzlar.html All versions also have ID on the hot shoe. Sandokan Posted September 7, 2020 Share #14 Posted September 7, 2020 They should make a version with a Thambar effect on the sensor glass and then label it with the Leica ID 10T. 1
JeffreyTotaro Posted September 10, 2020 Share #15 Posted September 10, 2020 Hi All! Has anyone seen one of these in the US yet? I'm on several lists, just waiting to hear. They say "Fall 2020". I have the Lwitz Wetzlar 35mm Summilux which is amazing of course. Cheers to all!

Gavinf Posted September 11, 2020 Share #19 Posted September 11, 2020 I have the Leitz Wetzlar edition and I'm delighted with it and very happy with my choice. Just be aware that the store pictures don't usually show the rear of the camera, which has the engraving picked out in white rather than black in the normal edition. Also, on the top plate, the small alignment markers for shutter speed and ISO are also picked out in white rather than the black shown in the photo. The back of the camera has the ‘Leica Camera Made in Germany’ blacked out. The rest of the engraving is as you say. Just FYI.
