Is the baffle still inside?  It is a ring, painted flat black, about half-way down the inside of the mount.  The baffle can be removed.

I've just checked.. yes, there is a baffle... and clearly it has a diameter a bit smaller than the Elmar f4 head... but is rather in depth (no half way, definitely) and isn't touched by the lenshead when screwed into.. maybe was it modified ? the baffle looks to be a rather simple component... if i touch it, it looks to be movable...

Sorry to stray discussion again, but why do you think Laney's accessory guide does not mention 14071? Seems a weird omission.

TYPO 😎 ... in my edition he quotes (page of Elmar 135 f4)  "Visoflex adapter 14701"  (code inexistent , seems to me..)

Luigi, the 135mm f4.0 Elmar lens head does not mount on ZOOAN.  There is a baffle in ZOOAN that prevents the 135mm f4.0 Elmar lens head from going into far enough to engage the threads.

It appears the 13.5cm f4.5 Elmar had the same lens element mounting as the old 13.5cm f4.5 Hektor (sn prior to 197000).

They look almost identical, indeed...  can you verify the measures of the Hektor ? I just took the ones of my old Elmar 135 4,5 (unnumbered, but coupled)

Flange (not end of thread mount) to top of focusing mount (thread starts exactly from it) - focus at infinity

Here I used your previous picture... but the measure is the one of my Elmar 4,5 : bootom of thread to top of mount (not a great measure... anyway, the mount is 5,5/6 mm over the top of front glass...)

I don't think you're referring to the Accessory Guide, as it has no page on any lens.

The long focusing mount for my 13.5cm f4.5 Hektor sn 196192 is 91.8mm.  So it is shorter than the 94mm you measured on your Elmar mount.

The lens front to flange distance of the head itself is 32.5mm.

The lens front to the bottom of the threads on the lens head is 36.8mm.  So it is a little longer than the number you estimated.

The diameter of the baffles inside my chrome ZOOAN is 33.1mm.

These are measured with a vernier calipers.  The accuracy of my measurements is probably +/- 0.1mm.

Don't worry about the discussion straying.  That is how things go on this forum.

By the amount of black paint, I suspect these are for quite early Hektors. My ZOOAN with a scratched in serial number in the 1718XXX range  is all chrome.

Just looked at my all chrome ZOOAN again - have previously been unsuccessful in attempting to screw in my Elmar 135 f4 lens head but once the baffles/rings (x3) were removed (easily), the head now fits & could be set up & function effectively with my Visoflex II - basically the same effect as the Elmar with its standard barrell & M mount, so no real advantage in setting it up this way (Elmar Head/ZOOAN/Visoflex). On the other hand when the lens head (Elmar) is set up with my OTZFO (16464) & OTSRO (16472) we have significantly improved macro capabilities.

One of the rings had the numbers 1314830 & 135,5 inscribed into the black paint - does this pertain to the specific Hektor lens head (~1955) that would have been matched to this ZOOAN?

I think that is logical : exact focal length (and they probably kept record of, after delivering the lens) was important to achieve correct infinity focus on the Viso i.
