I am old enough to remember those prices, pre 15/2/1971. Cod is now nearly GBP 20 per kilo, Eels have almost disappeared, Cockles are also a memory.

In 1971 I paid 2 shillings (10p) for a pint of beer. 50 years later it is GBP 4.50. I could buy a really good Nuits St George for 10/- a bottle (50p). Now about GBP 30 minimum.

Oh dear, inflation and taxation have gone mad.

How very true.  The only thing to outstrip inflation seems to be taxation.  £1 in 1970 is the equivalent of about £14 today but your pint of beer is x45 and your decent bottle of wine is x60.  And yet we still don't generate enough income from taxation to run our economy.  The deficit was bad pre-Covid and will get worse post-Covid.
