Advertisement Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Hi Arrow, Take a look here Colour problems in Sl 2 - reds are all magenta - raw on aperture. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

You may want to consider using both, opening the file in C1, and then round-tripping it from LR as a TIFF back to C1. See the outfit on the left in the seventh picture here: https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-7qQZzW/. It’s actually magenta. I can post a JPG with the stock profile or post a link to download the DNG. I was already admiring your pictures for the great colors I played a bit in C1 20 and played a bit more with white balance options. The default wb comes in at 3949 Kelvin. Moving the slider to 13341 Kelvin and one stop of underexposure does the trick in this case. Does not work in other, more color complex, cases Welcome, dear visitor! meerec Posted December 29, 2019 Share #64 Posted December 29, 2019 This to me is calling for SL2 custom camera profiles to be created for either LR and C1.
david strachan Posted December 30, 2019 Share #65 Posted December 30, 2019 (edited) I've found different upgrades of Lightroom played havoc with my M8 JPG files. One day the greens were nice in my lawn shots...the next upgrade made grasses look gaudy luminous...im not one for oversaturation (generally). All previous images affected, and difficult to correct. Now i shoot DNG which gives me the colours i want. I have M-P (240) and always use auto white balance...works very well. Reds are usually too hot though...as with all digi pics. Just throwing a mention into the ring...🤔 Edited December 30, 2019 by david strachan
jaapv Posted December 30, 2019 Share #66 Posted December 30, 2019 I found the same. The solution is to use an earlier process. ( the top lefthand button in the calibration module opens the pull-down menu)

( the top lefthand button in the calibration module opens the pull-down menu) Well, that's a relief Jaap...thought i was going mad...i hadn't made note on the Forum, prior to this. I'll check out your suggestion once my main computer is fixed...can't turn on, power supply i suspect. Anyway great to have support from a staunch M8 lover. ... PS IIRC have tried the "Earlier Version" route..but will explore more. Just so pleased to find a supporter...nothing on our forum previously. C1 was very quick in producing an ICC profile for the Fuji Xpro3 that was released about the same time as the SL2. Don't know what causes these delays with new Leica products 😐 Edited December 30, 2019 by Arrow

meerec Posted December 30, 2019 Share #71 Posted December 30, 2019 So I’ve tried improving skin colours in C1 v 20 on Mac but I failed. The results were awful and most likely it’s me to blame for my lack of patience and skills with C1. I’ve made some progress with LR on iPad though: colour grading in LR and then round tripping to Adobe PS Fix app for quick retouching gives me this quick result, which I rather like. So to my eye, LR v 6.14 on OS X Catalina is bad on skin tones, whereas the latest LR on iPad works well. What do you think? Welcome, dear visitor! Arrow Posted December 30, 2019 Share #74 Posted December 30, 2019 (edited) While I (and surely many more) am waiting for C1 20 finally to come up with an ICC for the SL2, I take advantage of the LR three month trial version (including Photoshop which I never felt the urge to use in the past .... ). The tones in LR are fine. Let's see what C1 will come up with. Edited December 30, 2019 by Arrow
verwackelt Posted January 5, 2020 Share #75 Posted January 5, 2020 PhaseOne is working on a SL2 profile. So a bit patience and the colors should be better:https://youtu.be/W7jsG0R0v08?t=2747 Generell information how the cameraprofiles for DNGs in C1 works and how they are generated by PhaseOne in the same video:https://youtu.be/W7jsG0R0v08?t=2113 1
