Leica R top cover removal

I started to take the top cover of the Leica R4 and I’ve already got stuck on the asa dial. Anyone fiddled with these? The are slots both in the metal retaining ring and the transparent plastic plate/cover. Neither won't move (I use a lens spanner wrench but dissasembled because the distance between the slots is too small). I am wondering should I turn the metal and the plastic separately, or use small flathead tips to catch both the metal and the plastic and then turn. Now, both slots are sort of alligned together so one would think that there is a purpose for that. The Minolta XD11 (XD7) had a different system here:) Thanks.

Thanks AndreasG I already saw that but I cannot make anything from the translation ;)

I posted the same question on a vintage repair Facebook group and someone has sent me these 2 pages from a magazine of some sort. Even more helpful.
