How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Yep .... lovely.

I`ve sold my 400 DO , it was the V1 .

The V2 looks to be much better with better contrast .

+1. V2 of the Canon 400mm DO lens is in the category 'fantastic'. Extreme sharpness, very good contrast, neutral colours, an amazing optical stabilisation mechanism (IBIS on SL2 cannot be used in tandem with 400 DO, but stabilisation is still impressive), relatively low weight/small size so good handholdability and a generally pleasant bokeh. I bought this lens about 2 years ago based on @michali's positive experiences. I have some past experience with Nikkor 400mm f2.8E (on Nikon and a little on Leica L-bodies), but I clearly prefer the 400 DO v2.

I can say it's different to the zoom. I prefer its compactness, and compared to the zoom 24-90 it has more and softer bokeh to use it even for portraits and at the moment it's my allrounder.

I did compare the perspective again with the SC-SL 35/2 and the SL-SL 50/1,4, first the 35mm, then 50mm
