How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Spent some pre-lockdown meaning hours with my Leica Q2 and a bunch of autumn leaves on a black background, that has.... too much of a weave through it, but better than nothing, as they say!

Took the Q2 to a NASCAR race at Pocono on Sunday.  Was a beautiful hot day for racing!  Trying to figure out why I cannot link the pictures from Flickr anymore.  Anyone else have that issue?

Three shot vertical pano of an Iris in our garden. Combined in Photoshop. I absolutely love this kind of photography. It's plenty challenging, but very rewarding when done. The simplicity of the final result really pleases me. Leica Q2, 1/5 sec, f/8, ISO 100, on tripod, black background, 2 sec. delayed shutter. I included one of the originals to show how the setup looked like.

New Q2 just arrived, and I took a few shots in the back yard to test it out. Camera feels to me about same as the original Q minus the sensor, which seems to remind me more of the M10 than it does the M10-R. This is my first regular-finish Q. Compared to the Q-P, black chrome M10-R, and black chrome M lenses, this isn’t quite as nice. The Q2 black paint has a semi-gloss to it that too easily fingerprints and gets smeared up. I would have willingly paid more for a nicer finish worthy of the feel of the cladding, which is really nice. I do miss the way the original Q would show the exposure comp readout along the bottom of the screen while changing +/- EV, which made it easy to put the meter back to zero without having to press a button to show/hide everything.
