Nice. Looks like a nicely designed earthquake indicator 😉

Hi everyone,

I have been reading along for quite some time now and been wanting a Leica for so long I can't even remember. 2 months ago I was able to finally pull the trigger on a used Q2 and love it. It has failed me on two occasions yet, however, and this almost made me return it. But I'm not here to complain but looking forward to sharing, discussing and learning with and from all of you 🙂

Here are two pictures I made in my backyard last week when I noticed spring is coming (or winter is taking a break).

What a great little EDC camera.  Had to pickup some items in the industrial area of Seattle.

The driver is fine but yikes!

Some shots from the city you don’t see as a tourist…

Depends on your exposure . Make a new shot and put your lens on Macro and open your lens more to 4.0 or less and try again

I appreciate your tips. These two photos are macro shots at f2.8 🙂

Maybe you thought I meant those when I talked about the failures? One failure was the camera freezing during a Confirmation in church after taking some burst shots and trying to review the results quickly in between which made me miss critical shots. The other failure was when the camera kept restarting every 3 seconds and even swapping the battery did not help. Both might be due to memory card issues (I used a SanDisk 170MB/s UHS-II) but the card worked fine with my other gear 🤷‍♂️

Had a broken water line outside a few nights ago.  It was 26F but wind.  The work crew worked from 9pm to 3am to get it fixed.  The Q2 was in hand and it did a pretty good job under the low light conditions.  ISO 1250, F-1.8?, 1/80 for the first one.  ISO 3200 F-1.8? 1/125 for the second one.
