How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

I went out hunting Golden Aspen today in the mountains west of Colorado Springs. They're fast moving past prime, but I found a few still really pretty. Also, Pikes Peak in the distance.

Playing with my new IR filter. OK up to ISO 3200 but ISO 800 seems to be the sweet spot.

Just for comparison (although its not like-for-like), here's one at ISO 3200 f8 4s, but processed using SFX after raw conversion by Capture One Pro. Neither this nor the previous IR image had any additional noise reduction applied. This one used SFX preset 20 (Fine Art high key), I then applied maximum highlight protection and chose Ilford Pan F film type rendering. Image itself isn't anything to write home about - I was just playing with the settings!

Traverse an Unknown Plain

I've been waiting for a day to test the Q2 in weather that favors my personal taste in photography-black and white minimalism. Fog on the coast is a perfect setup for me. I love isolating subjects in fog if I can. It takes some practice due to focus limitations, but it is worth every attempt. Thank you all for your interest!
