How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

I took some slow shutter images around Boora Point, NSW yesterday. My first photo excursion with the Q2 for a while. This one was on a tripod using an ND filter - f/2.8, 0.6 secs, ISO50

Rain on poinsettia at home. I think this was a macro photo. Is there a way to tell after the fact, other than by looking at the image?

I received my Q2 yesterday and decided it was the perfect opportunity to head to a place where I grew up. Walking in my old footsteps was great, and the Q2 was an instant hit. I love how compact and portable it is vs the image quality it produces.

Another slow shutter image from Boora Point, NSW. I really loved the colours in the water as the swell smashed into the sandstone cliffs. I didn't stay there long because, as you can see, the cliff tops are prone to collapse.

Q2 with an ND filter on a tripod. ISO100, 1/8 sec, f/1.7

Very nice. I often use a 6-stop ND filter around water. Next time consider upping the f/stop and the shutter speed to around a second. It’ll make a dreamy water image. It’s all art and no right answer. Just fun to play with. 👏👏

Actually, now you mention it, that location was a bit precarious so I didn't take the time to set up the tripod for a longer exposure. That would have been handheld hence the lower f/stop. I did take some longer exposures nearby, but there I was a bit concerned about the cliff face collapsing. Will post some longer exposures as well.

Is this the kind of image you're referring to? It was taken on a tripod at a less precarious spot nearby:) f/5, ISO50, 2 secs
