There is probably a simpler way but here is mine FWIW.
Assuming the last pic file is 1030746.
Remove the card having that file on it and insert a blank card instead.
Main menu 4 > Reset Image numbering > Yes. Then take one pic and the camera will create a 1000001 file.
Redo the process three times until the camera creates a 1030001 file.
Now switch your camera off, remove the blank card, insert your original card, switch the camera on and the numbering should follow 1030746 exactly.

Thanks very much for the hint. Unfortunately I had already formatted my SD card but nevertheless I was able to "fast forward" to the next third digit from my last shot (now C1050001 from my last C1040674) and I do not duplicate any pic number.

This thing is making me crazy, wake up Leica and try do solve the problem !

Make it the default in FN by holding FN and scrolling to it to select. Then every time you push FN that will appear.

point to what you want to meter and press  FN (very difficult to meter your hand that way). A little lock will appear on the bottom left of the screen to let you know metering is fixed.

Much appreciated, Ken. very helpful.

Did the Touch AF + Release disappear from the menu with FW 3.1?  I no longer see this in the AF Mode.  Touch AF is set to ON.  Also, in the Focusing menu, the Focus Limit is grayed out.  Somewhat puzzled. . . Thanks.

Since I didn't get any response, I assume no one else is having these issues. . .?
