It perfect, space full very well built only one defect , when placed on the flor or on a table never stay upright but fell down as the base of the bag is curved , banded by camera weight

kuau Posted November 27, 2019 Share #63 Posted November 27, 2019 How about a bag for my new SL2 that will hold 3-4 M lenses and is weather resistant?

I'm waiting to get my SL2 to see how it fits in the Billingham M Combo bag I have, with the M lenses I already have Got a feeling it might encourage me to leave one or two of the M lenses behind, rather than taking 4 or 5 out with me! Although, to be fair, 80% of my M lenses are tiny, and 90mm Summarit 2.5 is hardly a giant.
Exodies Posted November 27, 2019 Share #65 Posted November 27, 2019 I think changing from M to SL necessitates changing from a one shoulder bag to a backpack with hip strap.
Dr. G Posted November 27, 2019 Share #66 Posted November 27, 2019 I'm also looking for a cross body messenger bag - but one that that can carry the SL2 with the Summcron-SL 50 mounted and the Q2. I'm ok with carrying the SL with the lens pointed ownward in the bag. Any suggestions?

There will be a bag in the Billingham range - probably this one https://billingham.co.uk/collections/camera-bags/products/hadley-large-pro You may get away with a size down Hadley Pro https://billingham.co.uk/products/hadley-pro-2020-camera-bag (As Artin describes) Edited November 27, 2019 by pedaes

ron777 Posted November 27, 2019 Share #69 Posted November 27, 2019 (edited) Ona Astoria should work, holds my GFX100 with 110mm attached and there is room for another lens and perhaps more. In addition, the Oberwerth Munchen holds the S1R with Panasonic 70-200 mm Attached and there is room to spare. Both well made bags but the Ona is much less costly. MindShift BackLight are currently my favorite backpacks, we have several of them. Love the way they open. I have more trouble finding a good bag than a good backpack, there are situations where a bag works better than a backpack.

With the M (2 bodies 4 lenses) any bag could do the job.. But the 90-280 is so huge... 😞

Great for a German Siegfried type who’s able to withdraw a sword from a rock I put the Porto bag on a scale and indeed it is 1.5kg. SL with 75lux is 1.3kg. But the Porto bag is great for taking all your gear on a plane. For walking I prefer a smaller bag for SL and one lens.

A top handle would probably require a thicker leather which would increase the weight.
