Popular Post pattyfrank Posted December 4, 2019 Popular Post Share #402 Posted December 4, 2019 No matter the topic, the Noctilux has a unique way of 'seeing'. It is certainly a challenge to find and feature the 'plane of focus' that will tell the story my eye perceives. It has made me see things quite differently, sometimes rather like painting than taking a photograph. Below my mini Maples trees taken with the M10-P and Noctilux 1.0. Evikne, Metin and a number of forum members helped me to decide to get this lens and an inspiration on its use. Welcome, dear visitor! pattyfrank Posted December 4, 2019 Share #404 Posted December 4, 2019 Thanks much Phil. Good luck with the .95! Will watch for your results. Oh, and not to worry Fall returns every year. Besides the .95, it will have you chasing color and light all year. :0)

nwphil Posted December 9, 2019 Share #410 Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) Finally got to hold and shoot with the .95; a lot to learn as shooting wide open one looses the focus point in a whim, and a less than sturdy hand below 1/200 shows how poor the form was. anyway, I will be posting a few today to start, and hopefully with time I can indeed present something more worthy compared with what has been posted here. Noticed that LR is not recognizing .95 - just 1.0. Also noticed that I might have to had a grip to my M240 Welcome, dear visitor! pattyfrank Posted December 9, 2019 Share #411 Posted December 9, 2019 Congrats Phil! Off to a great start. May it bring great joy! I find LR doesn’t recognize a profile for my Noctilux 1.0, but the 0.95 does appear. Maybe someone else can help with info.

Quite simply, mine finds light where I've see none. 🤔 Pete.
a.noctilux Posted December 19, 2019 Share #420 Posted December 19, 2019 I don't know what is "ISO equivalence" of human eyes... Somewhere, I read they are about f/2 wide open and less with age. So nothing wrong when we saw less than the Noctilux (I always wonder at which ISO ?). As side notes : - what the purpose of photographing what we don't/can't see (I know there are out there nice pictures in IR or UV "invisible lighting") - saw that Noctilux can be very fragile ( or flight luggage handling can damage more than we think )
