Most of my favorites are candid shots of friends and family, which I don’t like to post on-line.

The jagged bokeh balls reveal that the picture probably hasn't been taken wide open?

Interesting.  I only shoot my Noctilux wide open or at f/8, and it's clearly not at f/8, so I can only assume that the aperture must have changed as I pulled my camera out of my bag and I didn't notice at the time.

Wait. According to Russell's Teapot, doesn't evinke have to prove his point? 😀

Porto.

M240 with 50/1 Noctilux v4

Sorry Pete for this ...

In my use of Noctilux, that Ninja Stars ennoyed me and "ruined" some of my pictures (which would be nice without those Stars).

Same for the Summilux-M 50mm asph. that I sold (to replace with non-asph varieties which has rounder aperture).

Have a look at the left of Pete picture which, just checked on my Noctilux 1.0, the Star forms may lead to about f/2.8, so not at wide open.

left crop from Pete Noctilux "Porto"

I've explained earlier what I suspect might have happened and I posted the picture in good faith so can we please move on from the pointless amateur forensics that are distracting the thread?

Pete.
