The main problem for me is with the image, not the lens, or rather the way that people who set themselves up as reviewers try to pass off unrealistic 'test shots' like this as definitive.

To be clear: I am neighter a reviewer nor blogger or... whatever you try to imply  here.
I just wanted to share an opinion about this lens - nothing more.

If you find it usefull, good - if not, it’s OK for me as well, but please don‘t poison this thread with malicious allegations.
THX!

I wasn't aware the topic had been abandoned, certainly not by me because this is a lens I am interested in buying!

What I am challenging is your review, which at best is derivative and at worst, through your methods, is misleading.

I bought this lens for the M, but in the end I use it only on the SL. Focusing with the evf is easier. I love its rendering, not only for portraits, but also for landscape’s. That said, below some recent portraits. Meet Renee, Sabina and Luka.

SL plus one light (stripbox) and sunbounce. Black bg, cobalt portra profiles.

After trying a 75lux I kinda like that rendering but couldn’t afford or justify paying 6k for it. So I picked up this nokton!

it arrived today and I’m surprised by the weight, thought it would be heavier.

I’m liking it so far! Can’t wait to go out and shoot with it this weekend!

Looks fantastic.  I can only imagine the reason for plumping for the Summilux instead is 1) the collectability/ label and 2) that "Mandler look" if you think it's that much better than what the Voigt churns out.  In relation 2) I'm struggling to justify that but that's only a subjective opinion of course.  The size, weight and output of the Voigt seems to have almost everything one could want out of a 75mm lens regardless of whether or not it's a Leica branded lens.
