Great shot. Shows more sharpness than the Summilux 75/1.4 with smooth bokeh. Any focus shift with the RF?

I haven’t  had it long enough to notice any. It’s tricky for me to focus with the rangefinder since the focus throw is so short. I will keep testing though.

No focus shift with the RF.  On my m10-p, it doesn’t exhibit any movement of the plane of focus.  I tested using a lens align chart and tripod, moving from wide open to f4.  Really great showing, one of the notable highlights of this lens.

Got my lens two days ago. Nice lens. Very well constructed. Hood included which is nice and hood fits also on reverse for storage.

Is it a bayonet or screw-in hood? Just curious.

well I dont know the correct term for it, but it is a two part piece, one is a ring that screws in like a filter and extends the lens by 5mm or so, then there is the hood itself which slides over that ring and is fixed by tightening a screw

I would expect these two lenses to render differently. The Summilux-M 75 is a "character" lens that, when shot at or near maximum aperture, produces a radiant glow. The Nokton 75 is a more modern lens, though it is definitely not sterile or flat. For portraits, the Summilux is highly prized by many. For general shooting, the Nokton is lighter and sharper.  Both are great lenses.

For a budget constraints situation, i was going the artisan’s way but i think this voigtlander was a safer pathway

considering the summarit coz of its price but the bigger aparture and closer focus distance gives me a feeling of shooting with a summilux, a lens i could only dream of having

I see you mounted your filter on the hood. I was wondering what would be better. Mounting the filter on the lens, then the hood on the filter, or the other way around.

I do like my 75mm f2 APO and, for now at least, have decided the last thing I need is another 75mm. Both the Summicron and this Voigtlander have short focus throws. The Summicron at times used to frustrate me alot with results that were just barely off focus but I’ve come to grips with it, both on my film and digital (non-live view) bodies and think I’ll just stand pat.
