Bart D Posted June 5, 2020 Share #61 Posted June 5, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Wouldn't the cost of a piece of software be negligible compared to M10M, I wonder
Advertisement Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Hi Bart D, Take a look here DxO Photolab and monochrome RAW files. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Gobert Posted June 5, 2020 Share #62 Posted June 5, 2020 Absolutely not. The M10m is a one timer, the software is a returner every two years or so.

You don't have to upgrade when you bought it once and it supports your camera. If you stay strong then you can manage to stay out of the yearly upgrade cycle. If say C1 offers actual advantages to you above the others then that’s the one to try and go for. I don’t see the rational in buying the more expensive M10M over the outstanding 246 and MM and then - if that is the case - compromising on the element in your workflow which may determine the quality and options of the output. The difference In cost between say C1 and another is a factor but there is also the cost of time, the cost of satisfaction and the lost value of potential. Its all about how we value the differences between the products and how that balances with all the other financial considerations we have in our lives. My M10M is in the post .....I’m going through the same thinking process......how to best support what the camera is capable of, not only in PP software but also in the final print.... but that is specific to how I see and how I want to work. tivoli Posted April 25, 2021 Share #65 Posted April 25, 2021 (edited) I haven't read through all the responses, but DXO Photolab 4 corrects my Q2 images but I have to do it manually, meaning all I have to do is click on "Distortion" in Geometry and it's corrected. Feel free to send me an image from another Leica camera. Edited April 25, 2021 by tivoli additional info
SrMi Posted May 8, 2021 Share #66 Posted May 8, 2021 DxO must tune their software to specific camera raw output. They do not have access to all cameras, hence they do not cover all cameras yet. Here is the list of supported cameras: https://www.dxo.com/supported-cameras/ Here you can request additional support: https://www.dxo.com/supported-cameras/suggest-module/
