When it is opened you can see the thickness of the bottom plate and I believe that a prior poster indicated it is aluminum. This adds quite a bit of weight on a LIM case. Unlike the ADM case, the LIM case has a large metal grip as well and I don't think any of it is aluminum. I've only added the battery access option but haven't opt for SD card. I guess I may not fill up a SD card in a day. But may occasionally drain up battery in a day.
