In my mind, I won’t see the Q2 until September possibly October. I’m very patient but I can’t wait until I don’t have to check this thread daily I have a corporate gig coming up in August and I think I’m renting a Q for the shoot, will be nice to use that camera a bit and then hopefully enjoy the upgrade right around the corner. No word yet... but I was told that they received around ten on 3 consecutive days at the end of June. Maybe gumbee and others will receive theirs soon. I got a call from Fireside cameras in San Francisco and also Camera West in the East Bay asking if I still wanted the Q2. Some one lucky behind me will be getting them both. I got mine already. Caveat emptor--they claim to have the Q2 in stock and are posting it at 4199 usd. I'm going to wait for B&H, but wanted any unwary buyers to be equally skeptical of this. https://www.mknightshop.com/Leica-Q2-Digital-Camera_p_33.html I wrote to them and got this reply from a different email address: "We got the Camera from an authorized dealer here in North America. And if they are happy to discount it, why the exploding offer, where it goes back to full price in 10 days? Extremely sketchy, they probably want to pressure you to buy fenced goods. Out of curiosity, what were you hoping to get out of the Q2 that you aren’t actually getting? As far as I can tell so far, it’s almost exactly the upgrade they indicated. The higher resolution is definitely there. The weather resistance is likely real (haven’t tested that by going out in the rain yet). The better battery life is definitely there. The EVF is a huge improvement. Granted, it’s an evolution not a revolution, but that is how it was pitched as well. Were you expecting the extra megapixels to be more obvious in their affect?
