ianman Posted August 18, 2019 Share #41 Posted August 18, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am certainly thinking about it. I'd bring the MP or M9 and a Summar and Thambar with M adaptors.

Hi Jim, you can borrow my IIIa for the day if you want to give one a try, I only have the Summar lens spare to go with it which is low on contrast but gives a nice vintage look. Let me know and I will throw it in the bag with my other gear. Geoff
Boojay Posted August 22, 2019 Share #44 Posted August 22, 2019 Sadly it seems my Daughter has volunteered me to run her shop for the day on 31st so won't be able to join you.

ianman Posted August 23, 2019 Share #47 Posted August 23, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Graham, If I can make it, I'll be driving from and back to South Devon on the day itself. I could give you a lift if you like. I also have found 7 more LFIs I'll bring over for you 🙂
Graham (G4FUJ) Posted August 24, 2019 Share #48 Posted August 24, 2019 That would make sense Ian. If I can confirm by Thursday, would that be too late to let you know?
farnz Posted August 24, 2019 Share #49 Posted August 24, 2019 By the way, in case anyone's not familiar with the Black Country Living Museum, it's not just a dusty old building full of glass cabinets containing eccentric articles and haughty, long-winded explanations, it's a large estate containing a 'live' village from Victorian(?) times that are staffed by knowledgeable and friendly people in period dress. Some scenes from the Peaky Blinders series' were filmed there and they hold exhibitions of how chains used to me made in their working foundry amongst other things. I intend to wear clothing that will blend into the place (weather permitting) and I 'challenge' others to do likewise because I think it'll add to the day for us. 😄 A few Barnack cameras will certainly be in keeping with the general ambience of the museum. Pete. 1
