stephan_w Posted December 10, 2018 Author Share #6 Posted December 10, 2018 vor 1 Stunde schrieb harryzet: you buy a 6000 euro-rangefinder-camera and have to calibrate it yourself? ridiculous I fear a long repairtime for an intervention that may take several minutes only. In former times it was necessary to have a complicated tool, but nowadays with the EVF it should be possible to do it yourself. And I was talking about my Monochrom

Combined with the EVF this must be easy, or what do you think? My MM needs calibration ..... Hello Stephan, For my M240, I had dropped it, and my rangefinder patch was out of calibration vertically. I had followed the instructions in one of the threads in this forum to calibrate my camera, and those instructions have worked for me. The gist of it is the following steps: 1) use your thumb to twist off the red Leica logo, 2) use a 2mm hex wrench to rotate a female hex-head screw slightly, 3) check your camera's rf patch, 4) repeat step #2 and #3 until you are satisfied, and 5) put your red Leica logo back. For M246, I do not know how to calibrate the RF patch.

jdlaing Posted December 12, 2018 Share #16 Posted December 12, 2018 PS: If you’re careful with a nice even pressure you should be okay. Mine shows no evidence of being removed.

I opened it using a small screw driver, not recommended but luckily mine is very easy to unscrew. 😄 Edited December 12, 2018 by jaeger
