Just wish I had an M10-D like you! 😉

😁

it’s interesting that I had the 35:2 v4 for 2 months whilst this lens was away.  I got a lot of consistent shots but no stand outs really that I can remember.  And on a casual walk I shoot a few frames with the 35:1.4 v2 and take this photo that I really like.

And when I received the 50:1.4 v3 I wondered if I really need my other 50’s anymore

I know it’s personal taste but they really are perfect for what I need.

The rest of my 35s and 50s I am taking about are crons so maybe it’s just the difference in cron (consistency , well corrected) versus Lux (extra stop, a little more character) that I like 🤔

I’m really thankful i have the 35:2 v4 as I was able to use a 35 whilst this lens was away but just find it interesting that I immediately warm back to this lens so much more strongly

This is a great combo! But I think the 50mm lux pre-asph v2/3 rendering wide open is not as magical as the 35mm lux. If you want a similar glow wide open to the summilux 35mm f1.4, while also being sharp from f2.8, then in the 50mm lineup I can think of three examples:

- Summilux pre-asph 50mm f1.4 V1 (Chrome, slight different optics to the V2)

- Summicron Collapsible 50mm V1

- Noctilux 50mm f1.2 (remake obviously)

Agree about the collapsible and also ad the zeiss c-sonnar 50 1.5 zm.

35:1.4 v2 on M6J and Tri-X .

This is from a little project I shot in COVID Lockdown, and quite a lot of it using 35:1.4 v2.  I posted about it here :

The St Ives lifeboat coming home after a night exercise.
I feel it should have a musical accompaniment - perhaps a middle D.

Hi, does anyone adapt the S7 hood to a standard filter size? or is anyone able to adapt the S7 thread on the lens to a more standard filter size? is this even possible. Please let me know, thank you.
