Great find !

Enjoy !!!

One piece of advice, do not use this lens on a M8 or M9 unless the rear shroud has been filed appropriately or removed !

Cheers, JM

thank you! i'm using it on the M9 seems to be ok? at least don't notice any issues when focusing

Maybe the lens has been prepared  .

I damaged a 216 v2 on a M9 last year ...

wow! ok so just to be safe always mount it at infinity? is there any way to know if it's been prepared or not?not?

Sorry, on the contrary, it should not be at infinity . If you look at the rear element, it protrudes more at infinity and the shroud can hit the inner body of the M9..

I just checked on a 222. I'd use it on other cameras . Check with your local Leica repair person.

There are old threads about this issue :

And last post from day 1. Shot at f1.4 and closest distance (about 0.8m). No cropping done.

Ah, I just love this lens. And it seems like you found one with a good flaring pattern, too.

Great find!

If it focuses to infinity without any issue (does not stop or stiffens at 5m or so) on your Leica it is fully OK to use.
