I just hope that if the new SL or CL has a 42MP-ish sensor, Leica will include the option to compress DNG's in camera, like the M240 can. The current SL doesn't have the option and if you shoot a couple of assignments per week (including full day weddings) it is an awful lot of data for computers and back-up discs.

to continue the speculation,......

That's the wildest speculation I've read in a long time. The sensor has been around for 2 years, it's not new. It is larger than full format, has the wrong aspect ratio and is not suitable for photographic purposes outside its intended use. In addition, Leica stopped working with CMOSIS several years ago and now uses sensors from the Israeli company TowerJazz, a Panasonic partner company.

Hoe kuch does a 4 TB drive cost nowadays?

I'm not talking about costs, but hassle. Even a modern Macbook doesn't have the option to include anything bigger than 2TB (SSD). That means working space will soon be depleted, forcing you to work on external discs, which can be done, but is not convenient. Plus, there is not a single benefit for large files for my clients.

Not even modern, my 2013 has 2 TB and 16 GB RAM. However, it works out to tens of thousands of hi-res images. Just transfer the folder with archived files to an external disk after you've done with them to clear space from time to time. I wouldn't keep my archive on a laptop - too risky.

Yes but CMOSIS is a fabless design company and will manufacture at TowerJazz.

(Not that I am saying that the CMOSIS sensor is in anything new. Just that it is a more complex relationship).

I often wear a manually wound Panerai Radiomir that bought about five years ago. Manual vs automatic doesn’t say much about the brand or value.

From what I read, the simplest of the watches will cost 10,000 euros. Better place your order soon!!!!!
