Finally got around to send a couple of rolls to Mori Film Lab in Brussels for dev + scan. The beautiful thing about shooting films is the time delay. Now as Paris enters depressing winter, the recently developed summer memories keep me warm.

These developments and scans look really well! Seems worth a trial compared to the few labs that are left in Holland

I agree! Without taking away the skill of the photographer of course.

I'd never heard of that lab and will certainly give them a try soon. The prices seem reasonable too.

Yeh, the scans came out fabulous. However it's probably optimized for their dev process as well. I also sent in a roll of developed film for rescan alongside with the 4 undeveloped rolls. The rescanned ones did not come with the pleasing color as my previous dev+scan. Going forward I'll just do dev+scan at Mori. Save me all the trouble.

Yeh, their communication is also good too. Raphäel particularly answered my questions with patience when I first reached out to them.

Note that you shall fill out an online form about the number of rolls for dev and/or scan. There won't be any reply after that online form is submitted. Just send the films to them directly. They'll give you a final quote via email once they receive the films and double check your online order. A link will be provided for Paypal (via credit card as well) payment. If you want your films sent back to you, during the checkout process select the shipping. The fee will be added to the total cost. You can also wait for a few more films developed before have them mailed back to you. They'll hold the films for you for a few months.

Entirely different mood but from the same Portra400 roll. (Yeh, I have a habit of not finishing the last roll during a trip and beginning the next trip with the unfinished roll.)

The dimmed rendition with strong contrast of Portra400 in twilight is really addictive.

In the Monochrom thread I found some color images where a B&W image was imported into Photoshop and colorized.  Here is my first attempt with the Pear image posted earlier (and below for reference) shot on Ilford HP5+ and souped in Rodinal 1:50 for 8.8 minutes.

Import to Photoshop-filters-neural-colorize and click, that's it.  I've tried on some other images and sometimes the color goes a bit "wonky" but on some images it works great.
