Hi everyone!

I made a small series of photos on my hometown in France, one dreary and sad day, or maybe it was me who was sad ...
My city is dying, the young people are fleeing and those who remain are like stunned and wonder what is going on, this is what I felt that day and that's what I wanted to convey in this series.
Does this series speak to you? Do they tell you something?
I'm still looking for myself photo and I would have liked to have your opinions to progress!

I think your sadness came from what you remember because I don't see it in the photos.  The mood is dark but I don't see much that says your city is dying.  A few people have posted shots with the same theme and the ones that work usually show decay -- crumbling buildings, closed shops, abandoned factories, boarded windows, etc.  Just my 2 cents.

Nice work, Stephanie, and a great project.  I see (through your eyes) desolation and loneliness, but I wonder how much of that is due to social distancing and self-quarantine?  I definitely think you need to keep going with this and discover more about yourself.

Both of these were shot on the same day. The difference in colours I don’t understand, and I’ve never been able to recreate the colours from the first photo.

Could You please do some more? I like the natural mood in your pictures. Keep on the good work!

Cheers, Shlomo.
