Earl, thank you for your suggestion. I tried different crops, and also BW, but at the end, I preferred to keep the whole environment not only because of the atmosphere of the place, but also I find the composition with one person in a very distinctive color work better. At least to my eyes.

The impression of solitude in that huge and rather cold place, is, I think, the subject of this shot! The trees are for me quite important, not only for the composition and color, but also the represent life opposite to the strong and lifeless columns.

But of course, the composition of a picture is a matter of personal and subjective view or taste; and thanks God, we all are different. 😅.

Another crop that may be a more balanced composition, but the feel of solitude in a larger environment is less.

If we are ten people shooting the same scene, we will have ten different versions! lol

At the risk of being 'too' different, Louis I have taken your original and cropped to 'fit' my eye.

Just out of interest. I feel the simplification and concentrated difference between the scale of the person and the pillars and the isolation is enhanced.

You may still prefer your original.
