Both with the 90 Elmarit (click to get it kind of sharp, it seems the preview does have issues with b&w)

Photo of a pair of Sandhill Cranes taken yesterday afternoon, Leica M10, 50mm Summicron, cropped to about half-size.  Photo taken near Fellsmere, Florida.

More photos taken around Fellsmere, Florida.  Sandhill Cranes in the second photo, the same cranes that were in my earlier photo.

Rangefinder focusing allows me to know exactly where the focus is set, which I found more difficult on my DSLR Nikon D750.

Added a note about the rangefinder focusing.

A few recent ones. This is a good example of why I sold the M246. I loved the pure black and white files, but I can get 90% of the way there with the M10 in color and just some effort in LR/PS.

I was walking around a place near Fellsmere, Florida, trying out my Voigtlander 15mm lens, using "Live View" to see what I was capturing.  It worked out surprisingly well for the "landscape photo" I took, but when I tried to take a photo of one Sandhill Crane showing off for his mate, I couldn't get close, so the image is greatly cropped.

I think I'll put that lens away as a "specialty lens", and go back to my 35 and 50mm lenses for most of what I do.

.........hmm, neither image showed up, so I deleted and re-uploaded.  I got the first image uploaded, but got an error about the second - but the first one still doesn't show up on my screen?

Here's the second image I tried to upload last night.  Taken with Voigtlander 15mm lens (cropped later to get a 50mm field of view).  Learned my lesson, need to take more lenses with me wherever I go, but yesterday was just devoted to trying out the lens, and getting used to it.

Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver, B.C. is a favorite place to catch late sun, or just anytime really for a nice hike through woods near the water.  M10  50mm Summilux ASPH

Glutton for punishment because I full pack isn't enough weight I lugged an M10 and a Leica MP with B&W film to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.  An image below, a series here.

Compared to a DSLR, I used the M10 more frequently as its smaller size meant it was usually out.
