I always thought BH was a major player in camera market but i guess not. Im cool with waiting though.

You haven't gotten your camera, so B&H is no longer a 'major player'?  Have you considered that major players also have longer wait lists?  Or that there isn't a direct connection between major camera dealers and how Leica distributes cameras?

The two M10s I readily found were from dealers you probably never heard of.  I guess that now makes them major players.

I think you miss-understood what he meant.

You can use Leica M lenses on many bodies and get exceptional results.

The point you made about using a M to get the best results flies in the face of why many others choose an M, namely the rangefinder perspective and the smaller size.

Maybe, ive read M lenses on SL and Sony Mount aren't as good though. Im not aware of any other options. I agree the size is a big draw which I mentioned before. My point was I got into Leica to use the lenses which used correctly, im not talking cat pics, are just plain gorgeous.

My chrome M10 arrived yesterday from Austria over 5 months after ordering & paying.  Delay worked to my advantage, however, between Leica raising the price & the dollar dropping a bit compared to the Euro.  Camera is only a couple weeks old.

Congratulations can I ask what colour?

I ordered myself the silver chrome, perhaps the classic one suits me best.

I did mention in the UK Availability thread when ordering from Harrods or Selfridges, their queue are shorter,

I hope you manage to get yourself the black ones from Harrison.

Dear 6bit,

I hope you have no issues with the memory card...after 1400+ photos, mine still works as it should and you would expect.

I have over 1000 photos on the same memory card as Magic. No problems whatsoever. I even used it as my main vacation camera this past week.

Norman Camera of Kalamazoo, Michigan ( telephone: 800-900-6676 )called me yesterday to tell me that they have a black M10. I had

already received a camera from another source so they might still have it there. I do not know if they have anyone on a waiting list

besides me.

I found a silver M10 at District Camera in Virginia at the original price. Should get it shipped to me today!

I used the Leica page to find all dealers in  the US and found quite a few stores with a few in stock - Norman Camera, Kalamazoo as Kenny posted, District Camera and possibly Samy's too. In fact, I just placed my order on Saturday and will get it in a couple of days - this after months of waiting with the more known sellers like the Leica stores in Miami, DC and las Vegas.

I think Kenmore camera had some and I perhaps another store in the Seattle area.

mine finally shipped from BH, good luck to the rest on this forum

Congratulations to you.

I just called B&H to ask about my order and got the answer I expected. They have a couple coming in a week or so, but I'm too far down the list to have any hope of getting one of those. I'm staying with B&H at this point. Finding one at another dealer would cost me an extra $300 with the price increase and I'm not in that much of a hurry for it.

If you look around, you might still find one at the original price. As I mentioned just a post earlier, I ordered my Silver M10 on Saturday and it's been shipped today. A lot of the lesser known dealers have a few in stock and some still at the original price.
