jaques Posted March 4, 2013 Share #925 Posted March 4, 2013 this is a long overdue kitten update- Smudge is almost a cat now... to see his earlier development documented with vintage glass look towards the start of this mighty thread.... he is captured here with my newly acquired (vintage) German made summicron 35mm V1 (with goggles). Very happy! Fantastic lens - these snaps were from my first 5 test shots: Welcome, dear visitor! farnz Posted March 4, 2013 Author Share #929 Posted March 4, 2013 ... he is captured here with my newly acquired (vintage) German made summicron 35mm V1 (with goggles). Very happy! Fantastic lens - these snaps were from my first 5 test shots: Superb lens. Judging from the shot of Smudge that's half in shadow, it looks like your 35 Summicron v1 would do pretty well with the fabled black cat in a coal cellar. Aviator Posted March 4, 2013 Share #930 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) Oh, cat pictures for showing off the sharpness of the lens! I know this is a legal requirement for participating in a photographic internetforum. May I join in? Two Wildcats (maybe one is the fabled black cat, just out of the coal cellar?) jaques Posted March 5, 2013 Share #931 Posted March 5, 2013 i just wanted to add this crop- this lens really is impressive- I now have the V1, V2 and V3 pre ashp summicrons... I might do a side by side test thread if anyone is interested.... I am going to have to part with one or two of them if I want an M (which I do unfortunately) so it is shaping up to be a tough choice- each has something going for it... Right now I am thinking this v1 may be the keeper: Welcome, dear visitor!
