Padam,

The auto street scene is nice, but the more I look at the "street portrait" the more I like it. You have captured something that is not often captured. Also, the guy looking at you or the lady definitely adds to the overall effect - a really great portrait. Regards, Ron

Thank you Ron, I agree.

It is actually a composite image from two separate images, because when the guy was in the right place, she moved slightly out of focus.

Maybe I could have tried portrait orientation, simplifying it even more, but there was simply no time for that, the tram started to move.

Two test shots taken with M-P and newly acquried (€20) fully open ltm Ojasi Seastal 1:4 f=105 mm (to me an obscure (Japanese?) brand). Anyone here that can provide more info about its origin (lens serial H33024)?

Hi,

from the following link, it could well be a re branded lens identical to the Tokina / Solinor versions:

I believe I remember reading that this brand (including Tokina, as well as other obscure ones) were part of some kind of subcontracting cottage industry set up by Vivitar to produce some of their lenses in various parts of the world. IIRC it was short lived as it quickly became a legal/licensing mess. Just my (likely inaccurate) recollection of something I read a while ago.
