Red anodising has been around for a very  long time - and to me it smacks of 'cheapness' I'm afraid, because it used to be the 'standard', 'cheap' finish on many anodised items. Whilst it actually looks far better than I would have anticipated, its not a lens colour that I would want to live with myself.

Because they think we are idiots and will pay for anything.

Which given previous limited editions.. a few of us are.

If it means they subsidize R&D for mainline products, so be it.

But could we please get some of those soon?  2016 has been the year of Emperors New Clothes so far.

2015 was a great year though, so hopefully 2017 will be as well.

Time to say good-by to Leica.... they get more and more to a rich fanboy brand..

Sorry - but the proliferation of limited editions, titan coatings and other questionable "innovations" is just horrible

time to reach for cover I believe...
