exile Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2001 Posted January 18, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looks excellent to me. Am very keen to try this new viewfinder - could provide an even better M experience.
Advertisement Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Hi exile, Take a look here Leica M 10. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Peter H Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2002 Posted January 18, 2017 Visoflex in Japanese i believe. So we'll get faster and slimmer M240 with 0.73x RF and Visoflex 020 apparently. Pretty well what most of us were expecting besides 0.73x instead of 0.72x. Do we know that the visoflex is the 020?
lct Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2003 Posted January 18, 2017 Do we know that the visoflex is the 020? Just a guess from my part.
Peter H Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2004 Posted January 18, 2017 I'm interested to learn more about the new sensor.
oronet commander Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2005 Posted January 18, 2017 The WiFi connection should allow getting GPS geotagging via the mobile phone receiver, shouldn't it? That's good. Nevertheless, the final specifications left me a little cold, TBH.
LocalHero1953 Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2006 Posted January 18, 2017 Must mean Visoflex i guess so those who have ordered a Viso 020 were not wrong apparently. Yes, imagine a computer converting voice to text from a Japanese speaker. But it doesn't necessarily mean the Visoflex 020. It could be a new one. chris_tribble Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2008 Posted January 18, 2017 Sorry boys due to the dismal news the party at my place is canceled. Wow I gues this means the 240 prices will start to climb on the used market. Hooray. I will have two for sale
lct Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2009 Posted January 18, 2017 [...] But it doesn't necessarily mean the Visoflex 020. It could be a new one. Not necessarily indeed but...
matlep Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2010 Posted January 18, 2017 But it doesn't necessarily mean the Visoflex 020. It could be a new one. Well it has been around since 2014. So it is definitely going to be the 020.
Neko Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2011 Posted January 18, 2017 what is "Leica Bizofurex"? ¨Bizofurex¨is is the japanese pronunciation for ¨Visoflex¨. I speak Japanese. My wife is japanese and I lived there for 2 years.
keithlaban.co.uk Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2012 Posted January 18, 2017 Is ISO 100 true base ISO? Will old dioptre correction lens fit? Same battery as M240? Visoflex 020? Better ISO performance? Scrolling focus? Better DR? Quieter shutter? Continuous via menu? Auto ISO options? Price? So many questions...

oronet commander Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2014 Posted January 18, 2017 The ISO dial only goes up to 6400. The highest values will have to be selected via menus, I guess...
Mike Rawcs Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2015 Posted January 18, 2017 4 years for ISO wheel and Wi-Fi? Smaller, thinner - and Leica Bizofurex! I'm hoping that the viewfinder allows spectacle wearers to see the 28mm framelines.
chris_tribble Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2016 Posted January 18, 2017 Time to get monocular contact lenses perhaps. This is something I'm now considering. I know one photographer who swears by this. Any other experience? M cameras are unusable without correcting diopter otherwise.

exile Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2019 Posted January 18, 2017 I just noticed the strap loops have been shifted towards the front of the camera; they are not exactly half way around the sides. I imagine this would allow better balance with larger lenses that shift the center of gravity substantially forwards. I wonder how many other little improvements we will see that are too subtle to be highlighted in the spec'...
