Tele-Elmar 135 mm/4 (1971) + M10.  One of my favorite Leica lenses and a focal length on a rangefinder camera which can extend a challenge.  The Tele-Elmar 135 mm/4 is a bit heavy (550g) but sharp.  This lens paired with the 21mm SEM and 50mm APO is a modernized form of Leica's classic kit suggested in the days of the M4 & M5.

...and later. I have an M4-P brochure (imprint VIII 1980, probably for the photokina intro) that still touts such "Recommended" lens kits, including:

5. The bridge across focal lengths from 21 to 135mm - The advanced [amateur] or the professional wants to be prepared for all possible situations. The following represents a universal outfit for reporting expeditions and photojournalism.

LEICA M4-P 10415
LEICAMETER MR 14218
LEICA-WINDER M4-2 14400
ELMARIT-M f/2.8 21mm 11314
Mirror [bright line] finder 21mm 12012
SUMMICRON-M f/2 50mm 11819
TELE-ELMARIT-M (sic) f/4 135mm 11851

followed by

6. The wide bridge across the focal lengths with ultra-high-speed lenses (which substitutes the Summilux-M 50mm and Elmarit-M 135 - and adds the 35/ 75mm Summiluxes - quite a load!). This outfit is designed primarily for photography under poor lighting conditions. The broad range of focal lengths covers all possibilities.

I've often gotten by with a slight modification - 21/35/135. Not only with Leica-M, but also with Canon/Nikon/Contax SLRs since 1978. A great travel-essay set.

A recent exercise to maintain my focusing and framing skills during Covid, and remind myself of the rich TE colors and tones.

Yes, I agree on the 21mm/35mm/135mm variation.  Great for travel.

As with many members here on the forum, I seem to have gathered most focal lengths available for rangefinder Leicas.  However, I find when I put my kit together for extended trips, I rely and enjoy the widest range of focal length lenses (21mm and 135mm) with one lens in the middle either a 35mm or 50mm.
