Originally - discussion of Mandler's work and output (started 2008), vs. posting pictures using that output (started 2016). See the original posters' introduction on each thread.

But with 2 (or 10) years of "thread drift," they've converged a bit.

I expect some photographers, being inherently more "visual" that "verbal" (especially in an International Forum), count an image alone as a fair comment. Or, at this point, may simply search for "that Mandler thread" and post a picture regardless of which thread they find first.

One of my favorite 35mm of all time. 

I didn’t know this one was designed by Walter Mandler.

Could anyone confirm this sweet little Summaron 35mm f/2.8 was designed by Dr. Walter Mandler ?
