Great job photographing this bug!   Did you use a “close up” filter?

Thanks Daffy!  I used a Marumi DHG Achromatic Macro-200(+5) 49mm filter.  These filters can be found by doing a search on Amazon.com.  I’m very impressed and having fun with this filter.  I just ordered a 2nd one to try coupling them for greater magnification. If you buy this or other filters I would also recommend a nice accessory for your 49mm filters. Do a search on Amazon for JJC Metal Lens Filter Stack Cap.  For under 11 USD you get 2 metal caps for front and back of filter(s). It protects your filter(s) and takes little space in you your camera bag.  Barry

My wife says this is a cone flower. I'm not sure. I took this pic of the cone using macro mode. Leica Q2, 1/125, f/6.3, ISO 640, hand-held. This camera never disappoints.

Excellent shots David! I see you put your filter to good use! (Don't tell me you didn't use the filter for taking them cause I will start believing that you manage to do some type of magic with the bokeh!)

Thank you, Dimitrios, that's very gracious of you Those shots were made without the filter. Ironically, I got the filter a couple hours ago and just returned from using it for the first time.
