Beautiful! Congratulations! We love visiting Cape Cod every summer. The hydrangeas there are gorgeous most years.

Thanks! We get onto the Cape, too, and I think they set the gold standard for hydrangeas,

this is an example of processing in Viveza 2 as part of the DxO Nik collection. What it does, among other things, with incredible ease (far easier than the PS masks) is darken the background to the point that it almost appears to be a picture taken with a flash. In fact, there were leaves and other flowers in the original picture. I have just begun to mess around with this (I actually have a job I'm supposed to be doing!), but I sense that the Nik collection is a really powerful short cut to a lot of the looks we want in either LR or PS that require far more technical knowledge that I'm currently willing to give them (job again). (what is uploaded is only 85 KB and doesn't begin to do justice to the dng that Nik processed).

Ditto these wild daisies (or whatever). you can see that there is something surrounding the flower that's now been rendered as bokeh, as if it were a flash. (Again, the file has been reduced to the point that it no longer looks like what Viviza produced.

Such a lovely dreamy effect! I have never used Viveza before, it seems an amazing piece of software! Will definitely look into that in the future!

What about having a separate image thread just for macro pictures?

Hope this will be followed, we can share our macro takes but also our questions, doubts, experiences...

Just a reply snapshot.  The Swiss cat (not a breed but the country of origin) that lives next door and loves to stay on my steps but never comes in.

Did you show them pornography to encourage them to do that? great capture!

Thanks for your kind words!

Nah, I didn't show them anything, thats just mother nature in action... These two little poor things were keep walking like that.. They may be still walking! Here is another one, I had rejected it cause it is not sharp at their heads, but it is interesting to see them in different position!
