leica file folder / use as hard drive ?

Read on manual found this use 246 as external hard drive. Anyone enlighten me more about this?

The internal memory buffer only 2GB, are they refer to use SD card?

How you guys utilize the file folder in the 246 ... " 100leica" ... ?

This is about the way the files are transferred to the computer. Basically you should leave the camera set to PTP.

It is not meant to use your camera as a hard drive for your computer.

About the file folder, that is the standard place where the camera will store your images on the SD card. It has no other use.

The internal buffer is transient. The camera will only use it for temporary storage as it transfers the files to the card

.Anyway, be wise, use a card reader on a locked card.

Thanks, so basically

Use 246 as hard drive is another way transferring picture to computer just like take out the sd card to card reader into computer ..

That is correct. Personally I have never used the USB port on any of my digital cameras. Card readers and locked cards only.
