If you manage to squeeze it in it would probably be ok-ish for storing but impractical for everyday use. Off topic (and apologies for hijacking the thread), but how do you find using a RX100 alongside a Q2? I’ve been thinking of getting one for it’s telephoto reach, but do you find it too much of a hassle to get out of the bag - any bag - to use?

I never owned a Sony in my life, to me they’re like small computers with a lens attached. Probably terrific photographic tools, but soulless.

I’ve been thinking of getting one for it’s telephoto reach, but do you find it too much of a hassle to get out of the bag - any bag - to use? Both right, really; I’ve never really liked Sony cameras - I had an RX1 before my original Q (and I had an original RX100 too), but the RX100 mkVI gives me a 24-200 with frankly excellent image quality for a 1” sensor, even at 200mm. And the video is excellent too (below is not my video). The menus on it are infuriating, but just set it up to shoot Raw & add exposure compensation to the rotating ring around the lens, and it’s a bit of a dream to use. And the viewfinder is way better than something that small has a right to be. main benefit is travel, though; I’ve been all over the world with a Leica + RX100 combo of one sort or another, and you only need the smallest of bags, and you have most bases covered - I’d rather a really high quality wide-angle compact, but until one comes out, this will do. Happy to answer any other questions you have.

Sorry for the late reply; I only just saw this. I don't have two Qs to try it with but I would say...possibly. However, if you did manage to squeeze two in there, you would almost certainly lose the ability to use the two internal side pockets for anything useful, so it depends on if you want to carry anything else in there with the cameras. You still have the front pocket, but it is not that large.

Yes you could but without the lens hood but it would be a squeeze - so much so that it would be a real struggle to get the camera out the bag and back in again. 5L solves the problem
intermediatic Posted August 10, 2021 Share #129 Posted August 10, 2021 Never mind. Went to a camera store and got one. Two Q2s with hoods easily fit in the 3L.
intermediatic Posted August 10, 2021 Share #130 Posted August 10, 2021 (edited) Update. I also picked up a Peak Design 6L today. I would NOT use that for Q2s. it is way too big. They fit in 3L as if they were supposed to. There is way too much room in the 6L and the Q2s would knock about in it (You could probably stick three in). I have put two Ms and a couple of lenses in the 6L (yes, an embarrassment of riches). Batteries easily fit in the external compartments. If I bring a tripod, I’ll be attaching it on the outside. This Think Tank Story Teller 8 nicely holds a Q2/Q2 mono pair with room for batteries/charger/etc in center and front pocket for filters or whatever you’d like.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! redrocksjoe Posted August 21, 2021 Share #132 Posted August 21, 2021 I picked up the Artisan and Artist ACAM 76 for the Q2, and all I can say is, wow was I underwhelmed. It is basically a reusable lunch bag with little padding and a big fiddly elastic strap for a closure. I wish I kept the packaging so I could return it. I also got a Crumpler Pleasure Dome in medium that fits the Q2 with grip well. That has about 3x the padding of the A&A. -Joe

The handle, and included strap, is an added convenience. I subsequently purchased a Billingham 72 which, whilst more expensive and a little less spacious, is easier to work from on the move since it is top access and doesn’t use a zip for closure. However, for general transportation, the Crumpler is just ideal. Enjoy!

It's been exactly what I wanted for my "grab-and-go" Q2. Me, too, that is what I use.
