ISO 2,500 is the highest I've gone so far, and it looks good, but I didn't have to push the file or anything.

The "Pratt & Whitney" photo above was made at ISO 3200, and there are a couple other ISO 3200 exposures I've posted from the SL in this thread. I haven't posted anything made with ISO 6400 or above yet, nor have I used such elevated ISO settings much as yet.

these were at 3200 ....http://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/253192-leica-sl-image-thread-post-your-examples-here/page-19?do=findComment&comment=2952057

I have auto iso set to max out at 3200 ...... with NR these files are very clean after PP.

In any situations requiring higher iso I have switched to T mode and used very low shutter speeds of 3/f or less with OIS on ...... results are excellent.

found something at 6400  1/40 at f3.2 ..... full size and then 100% crop

optimised in LR to best compromise between sharpening and nr ......

and by contrast the same at 2000 ... but instead 1/13 at f2.9 ..... all handheld of course ..

Thank you very much ! This is very helpful !

So, auto ISO at 3200 and ISO 6400 (in exceptional situations) will be definitely not a problem (for me).

Looking through my camera case I ran across a Canon 58mm Close-up Lens (500D), and wondered how, or if, it might work on the APO Cron 90, so I bought an inexpensive 55mm-58mm step-up ring, mounted the ring and lens onto the Cron, and took this hand-held shot with the SL.  Now I have a new toy. :)

Which R 50 lux is that, the E60 or the E55?

I suppose it's the E55 ... it's a 3cam lens, serial number 251xxxx, putting it as 1972 production according to the wiki page.

I use it a lot! It's probably been the most-used of all my R lenses.
