How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Having to dedicate all my attention to the group, it's not easy to find the time to work while teaching a Workshop; this year on Skye I could make 3-4 images. This is one of them: The Stormy Old Man of Storr, with the Leica SL and the Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm.

A tiny surprise!

I often walk through the botanical gardens of a nearby university.  Today, I observed another photographer shooting several frames of one flower.  He saw me with my camera and called me over and asked, "You want to see something interesting?"  This is what he pointed to.  This tiny frog was perhaps 2cm total length.  It sat there long enough for me to shoot three frames.  This was when I really could have used the R 100 macro Elmarit that I am planning to purchase.  SL with SL 24-90.  Lightroom.

Went out to see how the fast rail line 50+ meters above the valley into Jerusalem was coming -- the uphill track is finished and the downhill side seems nearly complete:

The last thing you will see as it dives into a tunnel to enter the city is a gigantic cemetery
