Robinyuill Posted September 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there. Having just returned to the film fold with the purchase of a cracking M6 I'm needing some information on film suppliers in the UK. I have a local shop in Edinburgh but with a limited and expensive selection. I'm also going to return to a Rolleiflex as well and I've had good results with an old Provia 100/120 developed and scanned by UK Film Lab. Black and white is catered for by Ilford shop but which is the best value supplier of reversal film. Thanks for any information. Regards Robin. Advertisement Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Hi Robinyuill, Take a look here Film Suppliers in UK.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Stealth3kpl Posted September 15, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2015 I typically get film from AG Photographic or 7dayshop if I'm after something in particular but Poundland sell Agfa Vistaplus 200 at, you guessed it, £1 for 24 exposures (36 sometimes if you're lucky) and it's not to be sniffed at. This is a test shot with a new to me 35/1.4 pre-asph (taken at f2). Developed by Snaps at Bournemouth Welcome, dear visitor! Bobitybob Posted September 16, 2015 Share #5 Posted September 16, 2015 As the old joke goes, have you tried Boots The bigger stores usually have a stock of USER Ilford, Kodak, and Fuji, including FP4, HP5, XP2, Ultramax and Superia. They are around £6.50 to £7.99 for 135/36 but generally have an offer available of buy one get one half price which makes them resonably competative given that they are local and there is no shipping cost. I'd also recommend the Poundshop to get a few as a standby and for freezer stock. For C41 development I've found the ASDA very good, £2 for up to 36 exposures and they will scan up to 4x36 rolls to CD (1840x1232 jpg) for £1 so that's £9 for 144 images! My local store will also process C41, 120 roll film but can't scan it. For the internet, take a look here http://www.fotoimpex.de, they will ship to anywhere in Europe and a very competative. Hope that's helpful.

earleygallery Posted September 20, 2015 Share #7 Posted September 20, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, Boots and Snappy Snaps shops are good when you need some film quickly. AG and Silverprint as said are very good for choice.
