jip Posted September 10, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have my S (Typ 006) horizon calibrated when the camera was in landscape mode, however when I turn the camera to portrait mode the horizon is like 10˚ off... first I thought I must be crazy and the camera must be right, but I tried it today on a tripod and it really is NOT right... I have reset the calibration a few times while having the camera straight on the tripod in landscape orientation, but everytime the portrait orientation is off, and the horizon is useless. Anyone had this problem?
Advertisement Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Hi jip, Take a look here Leica S (Typ 006) Horizon calibration. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
xiaubauu2009 Posted September 11, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 11, 2015 Are you using a L Bracket? Cause evertime I turn my camera over from Landscape, I felt the L bracket have some give/play to the rigidity, and it's always ever so slightly off... Not sure if that's the case as well. Let me try mine
xiaubauu2009 Posted September 11, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 11, 2015 Nope, it is zero on both orientation...
jip Posted September 12, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted September 12, 2015 Here it's only zero on landscape and then it's about 82° on portrait. If I actually listen and turn it to 0° it's really off.
